Pedal to the office without getting too sweaty on the Izip Express by Currie Technologies. It's part Schwinn, part Prius. The 27-speed hybrid bike has a 750-watt electric motor that kicks in when a hill steepens or you need a boost. The bike uses technology that detects pedaling speed and adds the right amount of extra juice. The bike's removable battery, which fully charges in a wall outlet in six hours to eight hours, lasts for 30 miles to 50 miles at roughly 20 miles per hour, depending on rider and terrain.
COST: $3,500
