Four Great Office Coffeemakers

We put models from Keurig, Jura, Fetco, and Technivorm to the test.

Good coffee can help boost office morale. So which coffeemakers are best for the break room? We talked to experts and scoured online stores and coffee blogs for recommendations, then tried out the models below.

KEURIG B155 SINGLE-CUP

The Keurig's tank holds enough water to make 18 cups of coffee, tea, or cocoa. The beverages -- there are more than 200 flavors -- are made with premeasured K-Cups. The taste? We thought the coffee was smooth and rich, though purists might find it too syrupy.

JURA IMPRESSA C5

A fancier option, the Impressa makes both espresso and coffee and has a milk frother and built-in bean grinder. The tank holds enough water for about 40 cups of espresso and 12 cups of coffee that taste smooth, rich, and less syrupy than the Keurig's.

FETCO EXTRACTOR CBS-2021EG

This commercial model brews 12-cup pots. It sprays water evenly over the grounds, producing a rich, aromatic blend that beat the Keurig and Impressa brews. One caveat: A technician must hook up the machine.

TECHNIVORM MOCCAMASTER

Making 10-cup pots of coffee with the Moccamaster, our favorite of the bunch, was a breeze, thanks to simple buttons and directions. The coffee was as delicious as the Fetco's, but without the complicated setup and big price tag.
