Oscar Blandi founded his namesake New York City salon in 1999, a decade after moving to the U.S. from Italy. Now he has celebrity clients like Kelly Ripa and a hair care line sold in 2,000 stores worldwide. Outside the salon, he takes part in extreme sports such as heli-skiing. Here are two of his favorite things.

Bulgari Diagono Professional Watch

"I have about 60 watches. This is one of my favorites -- it was one of the first gifts I bought myself when I could afford it. I don't really wear jewelry, but wearing a watch is a great way to make a statement. I wear this one at least once a week. I've even worn it scuba diving, since it's waterproof up to 300 meters. I can set the 18-karat gold dial on the top to tell me how long I've been underwater."

Nespresso Gemini CS 220 Pro

"I put an espresso bar with this machine in my salon to create an Italian environment. It's the first thing clients see when they walk in. I love the aroma it creates. I have an obsession with chocolate, so Nespresso created an Oscar Blandi drink that we serve at the salon. It's made with three types of melted chocolate and has whipped cream on top. When I drink it, I can't eat anything else for the rest of the day."
