In 2006, Elizabeth Cutler and a business partner opened the first SoulCycle spinning studio in Manhattan. Today, SoulCycle has seven studios in the New York City area, and Cutler is preparing to open several more locations in New York and Los Angeles. Here are two things she uses to stay fit and organized.

Polar Heart Rate Monitor RS 300x
I received this heart rate monitor watch as a gift and loved it instantly. I wear it when I'm exercising, which I usually do several evenings a week in one of our studios. The monitor shows me how hard I'm working and how much fat I'm burning. It also tells me if I'm in the correct zone for my age and fitness level, which helps me make sure I don't slack off or overdo it. The monitor, which also has a feature that lets you track up to 16 past sessions, tells me everything I need to know during workouts. Cost: $170

Dakine Over Under Bag
I'm obsessed with this roller bag. I travel a lot to scout new studio locations, and I hate checking a bag. This carry-on has two separate mesh zip sections inside, which helps keep me organized. I pack my clothes and workout gear on one side and the stuff I need for meetings on the other. I love the fact that I don't need a separate laptop bag, since I can slip my laptop inside the large outside pocket and my book in the small pocket. Another plus: The bag is very affordable. Cost: $160

Cutler's Exercise Tips

Multitask
Most business owners don't have much time to see friends or exercise, so do both at once. Make plans with a friend to go for a run or take a class.

Pencil It In
If you don't plan for exercise, you won't do it. Put workouts on your calendar, just as you would meetings. You're much more likely to follow through if they're scheduled.
