A New Way to Share Trip Plans
The skinny on TripIt's new shared calendar, which makes it easier to keep track of coworkers.
Byron Eggenschwiler
Keeping track of traveling co-workers can be a headache. TripIt, the online trip-planning company, recently launched a shared calendar designed to keep everyone in the loop. After you forward flight, hotel, and rental-car confirmation e-mails to your TripIt account, the service creates a detailed itinerary that you can access on the Web or via a mobile app.
Then, it automatically updates the company calendar with your travel dates and destinations, keeping details about hotels and flights private. A handy "today" view of the calendar gives you a quick rundown of who is in and out of the office.
Cost: TripIt for Business starts at $29 a month for up to 10 users.
