When you're traveling for business or just busy at the office, scheduling a workout can be a pain. A new wave of websites makes it easier by letting you find and book classes at gyms and studios across the country. Here are two to consider.

GoRecess.com

This free service lets you search for classes at boutique fitness studios nationwide. You can search by workout type, location, and time. The site, which includes information on more than 100,000 classes, pulls up options that fit your criteria, along with descriptions, schedules, ratings, reviews, and a map.

Then, you can book and pay for classes online.

A recent search for yoga in Chicago turned up 19 classes taking place that day, ranging in price from $15 to $50.

Classtivity.com

Not just for workouts, Classtivity lets you search for a variety of classes, including cooking and improv comedy. You can search by subject, location, time, reviews, price, and ratings, and reserve a spot for most classes.

The free service has information on about 2,500 classes in New York City and plans to expand to San Francisco and Los Angeles this year.

A recent search for martial-arts courses in New York pulled up 21 classes for that day, ranging from $10 to $27.
