Note-taking apps may be all the rage.

But sometimes, nothing beats pen and paper. With that in mind, Evernote and Moleskine have joined forces to create a Smart Notebook optimized for use with Evernote's note-taking app.

Each page of the notebook features tiny dots designed to work with the Page Camera function in Evernote's newest app for iPads and iPhones.

When you take a picture of a page with the camera, it automatically improves skew, clarity, and edge detection, and makes handwriting searchable. The notebook also comes with stickers that Evernote's Page Camera turns into searchable tags.

Cost: Starting at $24.95 for a pocket-size journal and three months of Evernote's Premium service
