What it does: Created by B*tween Productions, the Beacon Street Girls are five fictional best friends -- part of a consumer entertainment brand focusing on the health and well-being of girls ages 9 to 13. Beacon Street Girls includes a series of books and has a website with games and related articles.
Description of internship: Marketing and editorial interns work in a variety of areas -- conducting research for books, assisting with Web design, and helping with the company's donation-request program. (unpaid)
