Private investigator Andrew Oberfeldt and attorney Heather McDonald have been collaborating on anti-counterfeiting seizures in New York since the early 1990s. The pair organizes raids on Lower Manhattan's Canal Street at least once a week, and their faces are well known in the community.

"You're not working today?" asks a young man, smirking, as Oberfeldt turns the corner from Thompson to Canal Street.

"I think we've developed a rapport," Oberfeldt tells us.
