The Best American Cars and Motorcycles You've Never Heard Of

Powered by a 750-horsepower midmounted V-8 engine, the Saleen S7 is widely regarded as the fastest production car in the world. It goes 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds and tops out at a preposterous 240 miles per hour. Somehow it's street legal. And it somehow gets 19 miles to the gallon on the highway. The S7, which was introduced in 2002, is the first car his company, based in Irvine, Calif., has built from scratch.
