During three weekends in October, thousands visit this small Northern Georgia town to celebrate the harvest and cooking of sorghum, a grain used to make a sweet syrup. Along with a parade and car show, the festival's website describes planned contests such as "pole climbin', log sawin', rock throwin', horshoe throwin' and baccur spittin'."
