This week, HP introduced the HP Mini 1103, a 2.78-pound netbook that starts at just $299.

The Mini 1103 has a 93 percent full-size keyboard and a 10.1-inch LED backlit WSVGA display. It can connect to devices such as printers, mice, and headsets via Bluetooth wireless technology and to the Internet via Wi-Fi Certified WLAN or optional integrated HP Mobile Broadband. It also comes pre-installed with HP QuickSync software, which synchronizes files from a primary desktop, notebook, or storage device, as well as HP QuickWeb, which lets you connect to the Web without having to boot up.

You can choose an Intel Atom N455 or N475 processor and a 3-cell battery for light use or 6-cell battery for all-day computing. The computer is slated to hit stores in December. Cost: $299 and up
