This week, Zimbra unveiled an updated version of its SaaS-based collaboration and e-mail application, which stores and syncs your e-mail, calendar, contacts, files, and documents in the cloud while also providing local access. The new version of the software has several big improvements, including mandatory spell check and shared access to e-mail folders, calendars, address books, and files. Zimbra 2.0 aggregates social networking accounts such as Twitter and Facebook, in addition to multiple e-mail accounts, giving you access to all the accounts in one interface. It also has more than 100 productivity tools, called Zimlets, including Google Translator and sticky notes. The basic version of Zimbra is free.
