New Salesforce Chatter Tools

A variety of new tools aim for better social integration, user engagement, and compliance on Salesforce Chatter, the private social network for companies.

Today, tech services provider Appirio unveiled a Social Enterprise Toolkit with more than a dozen handy apps for Salesforce Chatter. Some of the highlights include apps that let users post to Chatter from Twitter and Google + using hashtags. Chatter Influence measures a user’s influence within a Chatter network, a la Klout scores. Another app, Chatter Compliance, can send alerts to administrators when certain keywords are used in a Chatter network—for example, the code name for a secret project.

You can view descriptions of all the apps in the toolkit on any mobile device by visiting m.socialenterprisetoolkit.com. There, you can also vote on tools, share them on social networks, including Facebook and Twitter, and submit ideas for new offerings. The person with the most popular new idea will receive $1,000.
