The Recom Group, a former Inc. 500 company, unveiled what is believed to be the world's largest laptop computer on Friday, as part of a promotion for AOL and Warner Bros.

The laptop, displayed at the Time Warner Center in New York, measures more than 16 feet wide and 14 feet high, and will be examined by the Guinness Book of World Records, to determine if it is, in fact, the largest ever. The display is to help promote the launch of the In2TV online video channels.

The massive laptop, on which people can actually type with their feet, took 35 days to build with teams working around the clock. The computer was transported in pieces from Recom's office in Los Angeles to New York on a 53-foot truck.

In2TV, a collaboration between AOL and Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution, is a new broadband network that allows consumers to watch full-length episodes of popular television series of all time on the Web.

"This [laptop] is so big, people will actually be able to walk around on the keyboard and view AOL's content on the massive 16-foot screen," Rob Norden, CEO of The Recom Group, said in a statement.

The laptop will be on display March 24-26.

Based in Los Angeles, The Recom Group sells a variety of product displays and interactive technology to companies such as Home Depot and Disney.
