Do you spend too much time responding to requests for marketing materials? A new service from Godfrey, a Lancaster, Pa.-based communications company, makes it easy to post photos, logos, PDFs, and other files to the Web.

Godfrey's Online Library's interface helps businesses upload and store files in a way that allows sales representatives, clients, or the media to download them at their convenience. The service automatically prepares low-, medium-, and high-resolution images from a single source file and offers a search function to guide users to the materials they need.

A business can set up its library so that multiple users can have access to different file types. In addition, an optional registration feature can allow the business to track who has downloaded files.

Businesses can pay a monthly fee for the service based on level of usage or can pay a one-time fee to license the application itself.

Stop Stuffing Envelopes

For small and midsize businesses, direct-mail campaigns can be laborious. A new service from FedEx Kinko's (NYSE:FDX) seeks to make the process more streamlined with a one-stop shop of marketing offerings.

Direct Mail Service offers design, production, professional finishing, address cleansing and verification, and mail processing. The goal is to provide smaller businesses with a single vendor who will design and print the marketing material, fold brochures, stuff envelopes, apply postage, and even deliver the mailing to the post office. FedEx Kinko's can print postcards, letters, brochures, or newsletters in black-and-white or color.

While other direct-mail service providers specialize in large mailings, FedEx Kinko's will handle a mailing of any size. The company can also help customers obtain postal discounts for qualifying mailings of 200 or more pieces.

New Upgrade for FileMaker Pro

Thanks to a downloadable kit, database software FileMaker Pro can now be integrated with Microsoft Office (NASDAQ:MSFT) applications, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Entourage, and PowerPoint.

FileMaker Pro (NASDAQ:AAPL) can help you use Word to produce customized letters and labels from the contacts in your database or can be used as a digital library for all your PowerPoint presentations.

The FileMaker Office Optimizer Kit is free and comes with a 30-day trial of FileMaker Pro 8.5 for Windows or Macintosh OS as well as the FileMaker Business Productivity Kit, a set of ready-to-use FileMaker applications for tasks such as managing inventory or tracking projects.
