Iomega's Desktop Hard Drives Support Mac Backup Feature
Iomega (NYSE:IOM) has announced that its new desktop hard drives are compatible with Time Machine, the new backup feature in Mac OS X Leopard.
The recently launched Apple-oriented UltraMax Pro, UltraMax, and MiniMax hard drives are pre-formatted with the Apple HFS+ file system, and therefore automatically recognized by Time Machine as potential backup drives. Time Machine backs up system settings and application data, keeping track of incremental changes by taking regular snapshots of new or changed files.
Iomega desktop hard drives come ready to use and start at $599.95 for the UltraMax Pro, $189.95 for the UltraMax, and $179.95 for the MiniMax.
