Small and home-based businesses with up to 25 employees now have two options when choosing accounting software from Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT).
The 2008 version of Office Accounting Professional, which costs about $200, is designed for established small businesses, while Office Accounting Express, which is free, is geared toward startups and home-based businesses.
A new service from AT&T (NYSE:T) makes it possible for small business owners to keep their eyes on their business even when they're away from the office.
The AT&T Remote Monitor service consists of video cameras and a variety of environmental sensors, which help owners stay connected to their businesses. Various alerts are available, including those via text messaging.
The starter kit is priced from $199 with a one-year contract, with monthly service charges starting at $9.95 for a single location. For more information, visit https://www.attrm.com/.
