McAfee Partners With Cox Communications

 

McAfee has teamed up with cable provider Cox Communications to deliver the Cox Security Suite powered by McAfee to all Cox High Speed Internet residential and small-business customers beginning in early 2008.

The new suite of security solutions features McAfee VirusScan Plus to detect, block and remove viruses, Trojans, spyware and other potentially unwanted programs; and McAfee SiteAdvisor to guard against malicious Web sites that feature adware, spam, phishing attacks, and other scams.

"The recently released National Cyber Security Alliance online security study showed more than 90 percent of consumers think they are protected against online threats, while less than half actually have sufficient protection," Todd Gebhart, senior vice president and general manager, McAfee Consumer, Mobile and Small Business, said in a statement. "Our partnership with Cox will expand security education, while protecting their customers."
