Red Hat, Alfresco Unveil Collaboration Solution for SMBs
Red Hat Exchange (RHX), a division of Red Hat, (NYSE:RHT) has teamed up with open-source enterprise content management company Alfresco Software to offer a new integrated solution to small and midsize businesses in need of collaboration, simplified information sharing and content management. Team Collaboration Solution, available exclusively from RHX, delivers Alfresco Enterprise Social Computing Platform capabilities via Red Hat's JBoss Enterprise Portal Platform.
Team Collaboration Solution is a cost-effective, user-friendly way for companies to build information-rich portals for employees, or extranets for customers and partners. Pre-integrated and certified on a complete Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5/JBoss Enterprise Middleware stack, it allows for portals to be expanded with out-of-the-box portlets that offer content collaboration, document management and Web content management services directly within the portal environment.
Team Collaboration Solution also features team workspaces for collaboration, and content rules for automated processing of business documents and digital assets; as well as the flexibility of an open-source stack.
