Authorize.Net Unveils Customer Information Manager
CyberSource's (NASDAQ:CYBS) Authorize.Net solution has unveiled its new Customer Information Manager (CIM), a tool that allows online merchants to store their customers' payment information on Authorize.Net's secure servers.
Merchants using CIM can simplify payments for their returning customers, as well as manage recurring transactions. Storing transaction data on Auhtorize.Net's servers can also potentially simplify compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
CIM allows merchants to process usage charges for pay-as-you-go services, and allows their returning customers make purchases without having to re-enter personal data. IT also enables merchants to create, view, update and delete customer profiles that include billing, payment and shipping information. CIM supports multiple profiles, giving customers the option of storing multiple shipping addresses or payment methods.
