BEA Systems to Launch SOA ERP Solution

 

BEA Systems (NASDAQ:BEAS) has introduced its new BEA SmartConnect 3.0, a service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach to enterprise resource planning (ERP) connectivity. SmartConnect 3.0 is a scalable connectivity solution that allows service-enabling ERP applications to quickly build new SOA-based applications.

SmartConnect 3.0 is designed to guide all aspects of business process management, data services, governance and security. It offers flexible deployments, dynamic routing for easy switchover between ERP application versions, and a reduced need for dedicated hardware, resulting in a reduced cost of ownership.

"We understand our customers are seeking to increase their return on ERP investments and that integrating enterprise-wide business processes using SOA is the best way to do this," Thanh Tran, senior vice president of AquaLogic products for BEA Systems, said in a statement.
