WebEx, Jamcracker Offer Hosted Collaboration App
On-demand collaboration applications and services provider WebEx, a division of Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO), has teamed up with Jamcracker, an on-demand services delivery company, to offer the WebEx WebOffice hosted e-mail and collaboration solution through the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network (JSDN).
WebOffice integrates both real-time and asynchronous collaboration capabilities, such as document sharing, calendaring and real-time Web meetings, into a unified Web-based solution to help businesses increase productivity, coordination and communications with colleagues, customers and partners. JSDN service providers will be able to resell WebEx WebOffice and bundle it with other collaborative communications services available through the JSDN, such as GoodLink wireless messaging and McAfee security.
"Jamcracker helps enable service providers to offer a full range of on-demand solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, which is a valuable distribution channel for us," Gary Reznick, senior director, alliances, Cisco WebEx, said in a statement. "By making WebEx WebOffice available through the hundreds of Jamcracker distributors, we can reach customers at every stage of their business' lifecycle."
