8x8 Launches Videoconferencing for Small Firms
Users can access the services from their personal Virtual Office extension.
8x8 (NASDAQ:EGHT) has unveiled its new desktop videoconferencing solution for small businesses. Packet8 Virtual Office Tango Video Terminal Adapter enhances the functionality of the Packet8 Virtual Office hosted iPBX phone system.
In addition to unlimited local and long distance calling, small businesses customers can now access videoconferencing capabilities from their personal Virtual Office extension. Features include integration with Microsoft Outlook to allow users to import contact information and facilitate speed dialing, integration with Virtual Office calling features through on-screen icon navigation and one-touch radio buttons, a built-in router, multi-image digital picture frame, and remote surveillance mode.
"Many of our Packet8 Virtual Office voice customers have at least one employee located in a remote location, so being able to videoconference with these employees by just dialing their regular extension is an easy and inexpensive way to boost office productivity," 8x8 chairman & CEO, Bryan R. Martin, said in a statement.
