Ingram Micro to Distribute VaultStor
The company is the first U.S. distributor of VaultStor's onsite backup and disaster recovery tools.
Onsite backup and disaster recovery products maker VaultStor has named Ingram Micro (NYSE:IM) as its first distributor in the U.S. market. Ingram Micro will deliver VaultStor's solutions via its solution provider network catering to the small and midsize marketplace.
VaultStor's Disaster Recovery Vault (DRV) is the only Networked Attached Storage (NAS) device designed to withstand temperatures of 1700 degrees Fahrenheit and water immersion up to 33 feet. Compatible with existing and emerging backup and recovery software, it operates with industry-standard NAS architecture, and protects critical and business intelligence data from offsite exposure.
"Our research has shown that protecting sensitive data onsite, in a secure, simple, and cost-effective manner, is a requirement that crosses all industry sectors and sizes," Tom Hanan, VaultStor's president and founder, said in a statement. "Additionally, we have found that recent changes in disclosure laws have made companies much more aware of their own risks when handing their customers' or patients' sensitive data to an offsite, third party."
