Avistar Launches Unified Communications Software
The application facilitates convergence, communication and collaboration for businesses.
Avistar Communications (NASDAQ:AVSR) has unveiled its latest unified communications software product. Avistar C3 is named for its ability to facilitate convergence, communication and collaboration.
Avistar C3 provides video, voice and collaboration at the desktop or remotely, using dynamic network and bandwidth management technology to achieve this without requiring additional network capacity. It also offers built-in support for interconnectivity with existing and external IP-rich media communications systems. As a highly scalable product, it’s available in editions for small and midsize companies and larger organizations.
"Unified communications risks failing to live up to its own hype," Simon Moss, CEO of Avistar, said in a statement. "Competing solutions claim VoIP and desktop videoconferencing capabilities, but the reality is that they are unable to deliver rich media at scale without significant network upgrades," Moss said.
