IBM Introduces Enhanced Business Strategy Solution

An array of products and services aims at helping businesses manage data.

 

IBM's (NYSE:IBM) recent acquisition of Cognos (NASDAQ:COGNOS) has allowed the company to better help its clients use business intelligence to address emerging industry-specific business opportunities. An array of new joint IBM-Cognos solutions, products and services will enable organizations of all sizes to better manage and use their data to improve decision making and overall performance.

Included in the new offerings are the Cognos 8 BI starter pack for IBM InfoSphere Warehouse; pre-integration of Cognos 8 within the IBM Information Server software platform to deliver seamless data integration; pre-configured templates for integrating Cognos 8 BI with IBM FileNet Business Process Management software; and pre-integration and bundling of an IBM Dashboard Accelerator starter kit with Cognos 8 BI for rapid building of portal-based, actionable dashboards.

In addition, IBM Cognos 8 BI software will be included in C-Class Balanced Warehouse offerings, which provide small and midsize businesses with an end-to-end solution for integrating and maintaining multiple data and information resources in a scalable data warehouse.
