Spiceworks, CMP Offer Free IT Software
bMighty.com features business technology news and tools for small businesses.
Free ad-supported IT management software provider, Spiceworks, has signed a deal with CMP, a United Business Media (LSE:UBM) company, to deliver a free co-branded version of Spiceworks IT Desktop to users of one of CMP's TechWeb Network Web sites. bMighty.com features business technology news, tools, and insight targeting small and midsize businesses. The free IT management software will be available to all registered members of the Web site.
The Spiceworks application allows IT professionals to automatically discover, inventory, monitor, track and report on the hardware and software running on a network. It also offers access to an integrated help desk and IT expert community. The software is supported by advertisers, meaning users pay nothing but must view ads alongside content.
"The Spiceworks IT Desktop provides an invaluable IT management tool for small and medium sized businesses," Jay Hallberg, co-founder and vice president of marketing for Spiceworks, said in a statement. "bMighty and the TechWeb network is a perfect channel to provide this application because its readers are technology-reliant businesses facing these issues every day."
