F-Secure Introduces Data Protection for SMBs

The new security package offers updated protection against Internet-based threats.

F-Secure has unveiled its new Protection Service for Business (PSB), targeting small and midsize businesses. This automated security package provides constantly updated protection against Internet-based threats for both desktop and mobile users.

F-Secure's Security-as-a-Service solution has been developed to allow value-added resellers to offer managed IT security as part of their service portfolio. It also enables additional services to be bundled with the PSB hosted service. PSB protects against viruses, spyware and hidden malware. It contains a firewall, intrusion prevention, application control, proactive protection, as well as rootkit detection.

According to Juha Ollila, F-Secure's vice president of channel business, the new Protection Service for Business "allows small and medium-sized companies to focus their time and resources on running their businesses instead of struggling to keep up with the constantly evolving security threats."
