AltiGen Communications (NASDAQ:ATGN) and VoSKY have joined forces to deliver cost-effective Skype-based applications to AltiGen's VoIP solutions for call centers. The new VoSKY Exchange VoIP application gateway will provide a new remote agent, Web Click2Call, VoIP trunking and global direct inward dial (DID) functionality.

This plug-and-play rackmount appliance adds enhanced VoIP applications, as well as Skype trunks to AltiGen's line of VoIP Phone Systems. Analog FXS ports eliminate the need for PCs or headsets.

Skype Remote Agent simplifies the adding of remote agents, which are then supported for a nominal fee. Web Click2Call allows end customers to place free Skype calls to a corporate or third-party call center via a company’s Web site. Skype Trunking for outbound calls leverages Skype Pro's $3 per month domestic flat-rate calling plan and SkypeOUT international long-distance rates. Global DID allows businesses to set up local access numbers for incoming customer calls from out of city or country to create or reinforce a presence in that geographical market.
