SAP Adds ERP Enhancement Package

SAP AG (NYSE:SAP) has introduced a third enhancement package for its enterprise resource planning (ERP) application, SAP ERP. Enhancement packages offer customers free access to new software features via a simple download.

This latest enhancement package includes updates for customers in the retail, trading and public services sectors, and improvements to core ERP modules, including financials, human capital management, procurement, corporate services, and sales and service.

New features for the retail and trading industries include modules for global data synchronization, merchandise and assortment planning, retail method of accounting, in-store customer order management, mobile inventory management and integration with the SAP Credit Management application. The manufacturing industry will benefit from improvements to direct store delivery and catch-weight management, commodity pricing engines in materials management, and remote logistics and joint venture accounting.
