DYMO, Kodak Offer Document Management Software
The application processes stacks of paper at a time with DYMOCode technology.
DYMO, a strategic business unit of Newell Rubbermaid (NYSE:NWL), has introduced a new document management solution targeting small and midsize businesses. DYMO File LT software is now available for free with Kodak's (NYSE:EK) (NYSE:EK) new ScanMate i1120 desktop scanner.
The new software is designed to process stacks of paper at a time using DYMOCode Technology, a patent-pending barcode scanning and filing system. Users simply select a document filing option, create a unique barcode, print the barcode on adhesive labels and apply them to documents, then scan all documents and the software automatically routes the documents to the appropriate files in the selected format.
"DYMO File fills a need among small and medium-sized businesses, and is a powerful, easy-to-use package that delivers a vastly improved scanning experience," Roger Markham, marketing manager of distributed capture, document imaging, graphic communications group at Eastman Kodak, said in a statement.
