MDI Launches New IP-Based Control System

PointGuard Xtreme is a scalable security system available in a ready-to-deploy package.

 

MDI Security Systems, a division of MDI (NASDAQ:MDII), has introduced its new IP-based access control software and hardware. PointGuard Xtreme is a cost-effective scalable security system that is available in a ready-to-deploy package.

The new system is easy to install and manage, with comprehensive system training available online, a feature that will appeal to small and midsize security dealers. The new Ready-Kit, a bundled turnkey access control package, arrives pre-wired, pre-configured and ready to deploy. PointGuard Xtreme's open architecture design allows for seamless expansion of the system from a basic access control product into an enterprise command application.

The new system will be available via physical security distributors, as well as IT resellers, including Nortel (NYSE:NT), Northern Video Systems, and the PSA Security Network.
