Allworx, a subsidiary of PAETEC Holding (NASDAQ:PAET), has released a new solution for seamlessly expanding traditional telephone line capacity for growing small and midsize businesses. The Px 6/2 Expander adds analog line and station capacity to support additional phone, fax or extensions to any Allworx system.

When integrated with the Allworx 24x, 10x, or 6x system, the new plug-and-play solution provides six analog loop-start FXO ports for connectivity to any central office public switched telephone network service and two analog FXS ports for supporting analog phones or fax machines. Up to three Expanders can be used at once, resulting in up to 18 additional central office lines per system.

"We've experienced strong market demand across the board in 2008 and a high level of interest in enhanced scalability solutions from our channel since previewing the Allworx Px 6/2 Expander at ITEXPO in January," George Daddis, president of Allworx, said in a statement. “We're confident that our customers and our channel partners will quickly recognize that the Px 6/2 Expander is the perfect solution to future-proof Allworx telephone systems in any SMB environment and allow those end-users to better mix and match their needs with both traditional telephone lines and SIP lines."
