Panasonic Upgrades Toughbook

The Toughbook 19F will include a Core 2 Duo processor.

 

Panasonic Computer Solutions, a Matsushita Electric Industrial (NYSE:MC) (NYSE:MC) company, has announced upgrades to its Toughbook 19 rugged convertible tablet computer. The Toughbook 19F will now include Core 2 Duo processor and expanded memory capabilities, and an optional integrated camera for use in inspection and incident documentation applications, for which it has become widely used.

The Toughbook 19 features magnesium alloy case, sealed keyboard and ports, hard drive heaters, flexible internal connectors and shock-mounting. It also features an anti-glare sunlight viewable display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a mobile broadband-ready design, backlit keyboard, and GPS.

"Panasonic has always been at the forefront of engineering and building mobile solutions that incorporate enhancements in processing power while advancing durability, screen brightness, battery life and embedded wireless technologies," Kyp Walls, director of product management at Panasonic Computer Solutions, said in a statement.
