Preferred Employers Addresses Work-Related Injuries
The company will work directly with doctors and nurses to help treat injured workers.
Preferred Employers Insurance, a W. R. Berkley (NYSE:BER) company, has created a proprietary medical provider network for the treatment of work related injuries sustained in California. Preferred Select MPN comprises a select number of medical providers specializing in occupational injuries.
The company will work directly with doctors, and have nurses work with injured workers to help them understand the medical process. A 24-hour hotline for customer claims will also be available.
"Our goal is to provide injured workers with access to quality care through medical providers that we know are experienced in the occupational field," Rosemary Favier, senior vice president of claims for Preferred Employers, said in a statement. "We want to ensure that small employers and their injured workers receive the advantage of prompt, quality care."
