HP, SCORE Host Small-Business Workshops
The Small Business Wellness Workshops offer information on disaster recovery planning.
HP (NYSE:HPQ) and SCORE small-business counselors have kicked off the second annual nationwide series of small business disaster preparedness workshops. Small Business Wellness Workshops provide small businesses with information about planning for various disaster recovery scenarios.
Workshops are planned for Sacramento, Fairfax, Philadelphia, San Jose and Warwick, R.I with more dates and locations to be added. They will cover how to recover customer data, tax documents and employee records after a man-made or natural disaster. A bonus session will provide attendees with tips on making their businesses more environmentally responsible.
"With our mission to foster the growth and success of small business, SCORE understands that disaster planning is imperative, not a 'nice to have," Ken Yancey, CEO of SCORE, said in a statement. "As today's small businesses are increasingly dependent on their computer systems, these workshops combine SCORE's scenario planning expertise with HP's data protection knowledge to address the full spectrum of disaster preparedness."
