Psion Teklogix Rugged Computers AT&T Compliant
The Ikon PDA and WORKABOUT PRO now offer voice and data capabilities on the AT&T network.
Psion Teklogix has announced that its two flagship mobile devices, the Ikon PDA and WORKABOUT PRO, now offer voice and data capabilities on AT&T's (NYSE:T) 3G broadband network. Users can now more quickly collect and interact with a range of high- bandwidth data, including video, pictures and graphics.
Ikon and WORKABOUT PRO can now be used by field service professionals to view a customer's service history, data-rich schematic drawings, or order service parts. In direct store delivery applications, multiple shipments can be picked up, dropped at the appropriate store, and new orders can be communicated wirelessly. Adding a wireless invoicing capability can result in faster turnaround on accounts receivable.
"Teaming with AT&T and achieving 3G mobile certification for our devices in North America on the most sophisticated mobile broadband network gives customers the speed and reliability they need to deliver faster transactions and better service," Ron Caines, president of Americas at Psion Teklogix, said in a statement.
