Phoenix, Utimaco Offer Enhanced Data Protection
The move integrates Utimaco's SafeGuard data protection technology with Phoenix's FailSafe tool.
Phoenix Technologies (NASDAQ:PTEC) has teamed up with Utimaco to integrate Utimaco's SafeGuard data protection technology into the Phoenix FailSafe solution.
Phoenix FailSafe enables mobile PC users to remotely encrypt, lock and destroy data on lost laptops to protect sensitive or private information. The combined solution will allow IT managers to track the location of PC assets, as well as ensure comprehensive data protection of all systems, including full encryption of all mobile devices.
"Organizations need to look beyond standard password and hard drive protection methods to protect sensitive data," Malte Pollmann, executive vice president of products at Utimaco, said in a statement.
