Vocus Upgrades Small Business Edition

The public relations and PRWeb platform helps small firms promote themselves online.

 

Vocus (NASDAQ:VOCS) has released the latest version of its Small Business Edition (SBE). Combining its signature public relations software with its PRWeb platform, it enables small businesses to better promote their business online.

SBE allows small businesses to create an online press release that includes photographs of products, links to their Web site and file attachments for additional information. Releases are distributed through the PRWeb platform, where they are indexed by search engines, fed to top news sites, included in more than 8 million RSS feeds and sent to top media outlets. It also allows users to send releases directly to journalists and monitor news about their organization, competitors and industry.

"With limited budgets and no resources to dedicate to public relations, small businesses often struggle to generate publicity and reach potential customers," Bill Wagner, chief marketing officer of Vocus, said in a statement. "Vocus SBE is an online marketing and public relations solution that provides small businesses with the ability to get their message out to millions of consumers to not only create publicity but create sales leads," he said.
