The service offers expert support beyond standard troubleshooting.
RCN (NASDAQ:RCNI) has unveiled a new service to provide its Business Services customers with enhanced technical support. The new solution gives customers phone access to a technical expert for requests that exceed the standard scope of provided support. An Enhanced Care Technician works can, with a customer's permission, connect directly to a troubled computer to remotely operate the system.
Available 24 hours a day, the service costs $30 for the first half hour and $20 for each subsequent half hour, charged directly to the customer's monthly RCN bill only when the customer's issue is resolved.
"Even when a local resource is available to a small business, it often means spending time standing in line or having a local representative on premise to solve the problem," RCN Business Services senior vice president and general manager, John Baker, said in a statement.
