Ricoh Americas has unveiled a new suite of document imaging applications from eCopy. Compatible with most Ricoh multifunction products (MFPs), the new eCopy products convert paper-based information into electronic images that can be incorporated directly into the workflow of critical business processes.

The software features a user-friendly interface that facilitates the sharing of electronic documents via e-mail, fax server, content management and collaborative systems. eCopy Desktop allows the use of desktop MFPs and scanners to scan documents and create PDF files. It facilitates the capture, edit and security of paper documents, allowing users to access and share these documents like Word or Excel files.

eCopy ShareScan Essentials, which is tailored to small and midsize businesses, lets users securely capture and share documents via a Ricoh MFP, in which the software is embedded. PDF documents can be created and sent to internal and external parties by e-mail or fax, or be forwarded directly to network folders for storage. eCopy ShareScan Suite is designed for larger workgroups and enterprises.
