NEC, Toggle Offer Hosted Continuity Tool
The system provides fast recovery from hardware, software and other site failures.
NEC (NASDAQ:NIPNY) and Toggle Networks have teamed up to deliver a hosted solution for meeting business continuity planning (BCP) requirements for data and application protection in the event of disaster. The joint solution will combine Toggle Networks' BCP service and NEC's ExpressCluster WAN software.
The solution provides synchronous WAN replication and automatic service failover of mission critical servers across remote locations. Toggle Networks offers a free initial business continuity assessment and free 60-day trial of the new service. ExpressCluster's integrated application and data protection and recovery allows for system recovery within minutes of hardware, software and site failures in LAN and WAN environments.
"We looked at a number of the most common software disaster recovery solutions," Ryan Chantler, president of Toggle Networks, said in a statement. "In both performance and feature-to-feature comparisons, there were no real contenders other than NEC's ExpressCluster WAN."
