DoppleVUE, SYS Release Updated Network Management Tool

Lighthouse offers small businesses desktop alerts for critical network elements.

 

DopplerVUE and SYS Technologies (AMEX:SYS) have released the sixth in a series of free tools for network management professionals. dVUE6 is a compact, graphical software gadget that performs targeted network and IT management functions from the desktop.

Dubbed 'Lighthouse,' the new gadget warns of troubled critical network elements. By collecting system log messages from network-connected devices, dVUE6's five rows of lights show the five network devices with the most alarms, color-coded for severity. Network managers can use dVUEs to collect information about networks and devices, placing them on user desktops to provide supporting information when users report a problem.

Priced and packaged for small and midsize companies, DVUE6 runs on any Microsoft desktop.
