MyToolBox to Offer Zimbra Hosted E-mail
The service allows businesses to run on-premise e-mail systems on Zimbra servers.
MyToolBox has launched a hosted e-mail continuity service based on version 5.0 of the Collaboration Suite by Zimbra, a Yahoo! (NASDAQ:YHOO) company. Emergency Mail Zimbra Edition allows businesses with almost any an on-premise e-mail system to run in parallel with hosted Zimbra servers.
Copies of all e-mail messages are backed up in real time on Zimbra servers hosted in MyToolBox data centers. In the event of fire, natural disaster, or server failure, users can continue to communicate remotely by accessing their Emergency Mail account. Scalable FlexBox routing technology from MyToolBox makes the solution attractive to small business customers.
"The real power behind our approach is that users can decide themselves when to use their Zimbra Emergency mailbox which means zero switchover time, and zero intervention by IT staff to engage or disengage the system," MyToolBox founder, Eric Rachal, said in a statement. "Major weekend upgrades becomes much less risky when your users never lose access to e-mail."
