NETGEAR (NASDAQ:NTGR) has announced that its routers for wireless networking will now be sold at Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) stores across the U.S. and on the Wal-Mart Web site. The wireless routers are designed for home and small office use.

NETGEAR routers to be sold at Wal-Mart include the Wireless-G Router for a simple and secure wireless solution that enables users to share an Internet connection across several PCs; the popular RangeMax Wireless Router, which delivers up to ten times the speed and coverage of standard wireless-G devices; and the RangeMax Next Wireless-N Router, which allows multiple users to use such advanced applications as downloading and streaming multimedia files, and making Internet phone calls.

"Wal-Mart is renowned for offering quality brand-name products at affordable prices, and it's a great retail outlet for us to be aligned with," Said Patrick Lo, NETGEAR's chairman and CEO, said in a statement. "The demand for wireless connectivity products is fast growing, so we're excited to offer a selection of our most popular and dependable routers at more than 3,500 stores and online at Walmart.com."
