Seagate Hard Drive to Power Dell Laptops

The Momentus 7200.3 hard drive features 7,200-rpms and 320GBs.

 

Seagate Technology's (NYSE:STX) Momentus 7200.3 hard drive, featuring 7,200-rpms and 320GBs, now powers Dell's (NASDAQ:DELL) XPS laptops and will soon be available in select Alienware laptops.

Ideal for laptops and small form factor desktop PCs, the new 2.5-inch hard drive combines low power consumption, free-fall protection and performance. It comes equipped with G-Force Protection, which helps prevent drive damage and data loss if the laptop is dropped.

"Laptop users want every bit of capacity, performance and durability that desktop PCs deliver," Michael Wingert, Seagate executive vice president and general manager of Personal Compute Business, said in a statement.
