The upgraded software features a visual design environment.
HP (NYSE:HPQ) has unveiled an enhanced version of its Database Archiving software to help customers improve application performance, while retaining data for regulatory compliance purposes.
The new version of the software features a visual design environment to help simplify deployments of database archiving projects. The designer module allows users to rapidly model application transactions, such as purchase orders and sales orders, and to apply business rules and corporate retention policies. By reducing the need for specialized skills during implementation, the module speeds deployment and reduces costs.
"In the midst of explosive information growth, HP Database Archiving software helps customers meet compliance and e-discovery initiatives as well as drive higher levels of application availability and performance," Robin Purohit, vice president and general manager of Information Management Software at HP, said in a statement.
