McAfee Releases Anti-Theft File Protection
The application offers a digital vault for bank statements and tax returns.
McAfee (NYSE:MFE) has unveiled its new Anti-Theft File Protection software, which provides privacy and theft protection for valuable files stored on a PC. The new solution allows users to lock important files, such as bank statements, tax returns and business documents in a digital vault.
Consumers and small business can use McAfee Anti-Theft regardless of the security software they already have installed. Easy to deploy, users can quickly create their own vault, store sensitive and personal files, and protect their vault with a secure password. Multiple vaults can be created per PC in cases where a computer is shared.
"McAfee protects consumers on the PC, Web and mobile platforms and with the introduction of this new anti-theft category, we are offering consumers an important extra layer of security for their PCs," Todd Gebhart, senior vice president and general manager of consumer, mobile and small business, said in a statement.
