Acer Unveils Reseller Program
Acer America has launched a new incentive-based value-added reseller program. Approved partners that have signed up for the company's Summer Sales Extravaganza will receive three percent backend rebates on TravelMate and Extensa notebook PCs, four percent on selected desktop PCs, and two percent on all B Series and 26-inch X Series LCDs.
New resellers interested in participating must first register to become a partner via Acer Connect. Upon approval, they can use their Acer Connect login information to sign up for the incentive program. Resellers previously authorized by Acer must also sign up for the new incentive program to qualify for rebates.
"Alliances play a critical part in Acer America's overall business strategy for delivering PC products across a broad spectrum of user segments, including the SMB market which has been Acer's historical strength," Richard Black, director of channel marketing for Acer America, said in a statement. "In addition to these new incentives, Acer provides a 100 percent indirect model for sales to business customers, giving VARs the assurance that we will never take their deal direct."
